چکیده

Abstract Nano-tendril bundles (NTBs) were formed on tungsten via helium (He) plasma exposure with various additional impurity gases, such as neon (Ne), nitrogen (N 2 ), and argon (Ar). The sizes of the NTBs showed different distributions gases. field emission property gases was measured. field-emission significantly affected by morphology NTBs, especially tips fibers. In Ne- Ar-seeded cases, sharp tips, onset electric for ∼1 kV mm −1 all NTB samples. Ne-seeded samples most rapid increase in current. N -seeded case, two types formed. when ratio gas 2.1%. With an to 3.0% or higher, fibers became thicker rounder. Fowler–Nordheim (F-N) plot analysis, enhancement factors approximately 6000–7000 without significant differences, tips. round totally property, current only several μ A, which is one-tenth that other This suggests local geometrical shape not general size main factor determining NTBs.

Dielectric properties of plasma sprayed silicates subjected to additional annealing

Several silicate materials were plasma sprayed and characterized by the authors in recent years from the point of view of their chemical and phase compositions, microstructure and mechanical as well as thermal properties. Present work is concerned with selected dielectric properties of these deposits. Synthetic mullite and steatite as well as natural olivine-forsterite were plasma sprayed using...

Effect of gases on the field emission properties of ultrananocrystalline diamond-coated silicon field emitter arrays

We performed studies of electron emission from ultrananocrystalline diamond ~UNCD!-coated, ungated silicon field emitters as a function of in situ exposure to various gases during current versus voltage and current versus time measurements. The emitter arrays were fabricated by a subtractive tip fabrication process and coated with UNCD films using microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition with...

Field emission from nano-cluster carbon films

Field emission has been reported to occur at much lower fields in carbon based thin film systems than from any other material systems. The emission has been shown to depend on the various material parameters, but whichever carbon based system is used, it is found that emission occurs at localised sites rather than uniformly over the entire surface. Carbon films with mixed sp3 sp2 bonding, like ...

Theories of Bundles with Additional Homotopy Conditions

In the present paper we study bundles equipped with extra homotopy conditions, in particular so-called n-bundles. It is shown that (under some condition) the classifying space of 1-bundles is the double coset space of some finite dimensional Lie group. We also establish some relation between our bundles and C*-algebras.

Transport properties of normal liquid helium: comparison of various methodologies.

We revisit the problem of self-diffusion in normal liquid helium above the lambda transition. Several different methods are applied to compute the velocity autocorrelation function. Since it is still impossible to determine the exact result for the velocity autocorrelation function from simulation, we appeal to the computation of short-time moments to determine the accuracy of the different app...
